Mansfield Brewery plc

Mansfield Brewery plc was a brewery and public house operating company based in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. 

Founded in 1855 by John Watson, Samual Hage and investor William Baily, the company became a Ltd company in 1922. Following its growth through trading and acquisition, it went on to be listed on the stock exchange as a public limited company in 1935, 

During the years, its business interests grew to include the main brewery and distribution centres in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and Hull in East Yorkshire and it went on to acquire the management of over 220 public houses in Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. It also had subsidiaries in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

Mansfield Brewery was purchased by Wolverhampton & Dudley Brewery in 1999 and went on to close its doors in 2002.
