We are pleased to let you know that the trustees have agreed to offer a Winter Energy Grant this year, providing additional support to beneficiaries during the months when energy costs are likely to be highest.

The grant will remain at £300 per household. Energy costs continue to place pressure on many households, and we recognise that not everyone will receive the government’s Winter Fuel Payment.

All grants are awarded at the discretion of the trustees. The Energy Grant is reviewed each year, and an award this year does not guarantee that the grant will be available in future years.

Every eligible household is welcome to apply. We particularly encourage applications from beneficiaries who are experiencing financial pressure and for whom the grant would make a meaningful difference this winter.

This year, there will be one extended application window, giving beneficiaries more time to apply while enabling us to make payments during the period when winter fuel bills are likely to be highest.

Applications must be received by 30th November. Payments for approved applications will be made on or before 8th January.

How to apply

The easiest way to apply is through the online portal, which can be found here: https://btpf.benefactorcloud.co.uk

To help us process applications quickly and efficiently, we are unable to accept completed applications by email. If applying online is not convenient for you, please get in touch with the office and we will be happy to send you a paper application form. Please ensure that any completed paper application form reaches us by 30th November.

You will not need to provide evidence of your energy costs. The grant is a one-off payment of £300 for each eligible household.

When will I hear about my application?

We will begin reviewing applications once the application window has closed on 30th November. We will notify every applicant once a decision has been made. Payments for successful applications will be made directly into the bank account provided, on or before 8th January.
